Development and Communications Manager, National Aboriginal Sporting Chance Academy
Verity has a long career in working with large not-for-profits to grow their fundraising programs, including five years as Donor Development Program Manager at Amnesty International Australia. She is passionate about Indigenous rights and recently made the move to NASCA (National Aboriginal Sporting Chance Academy), a small Aboriginal youth organisation. Her role as Development and Communications Manager means that she has the daunting yet exciting challenge of growing sustainable fundraising from the ground up. In a fundraising environment dominated by need driven propositions, she is determined to create positive promotions of Aboriginal communities that inspire audiences to support.
Community & Fundraising Manager, Climate Council
Cassie manages a community of over 150,000 donors, members, volunteers, and supporters as the Community & Fundraising Manager at the Climate Council. Cassie's work spans fundraising, community engagement, digital content, marketing, communications and strategy. Key achievements include growing the Climate Council’s online regular giving program by 27%, more than doubling the size of the Climate Council’s supporter base and coordinating the Kimberley Fundraising Challenge which raised over $110,000 for the Climate Council. Cassie previously worked in the higher education sector and is currently undertaking a Masters of Environmental Management and Sustainability.
