Becky Bond is the co-author of “Rules for Revolutionaries: How Big Organizing Can Change Everything.” She served as a senior adviser on the Bernie Sanders 2016 presidential campaign, and was an architect of the campaign’s national, volunteer-driven grassroots campaign. After the 2016 presidential cycle, Becky founded the Big Organizing Project and is a pioneer in the use of distributed organising to win advocacy and electoral campaigns.

Marianne is the Director of Story and Strategy at ActionStation in New Zealand. As a human rights lawyer, Marianne has worked for the UN in Afghanistan, and with non-governmental organisations in the Gaza Strip and Timor Leste. Marianne is dedicated to the causes of human rights and global disarmament and peace, with considerable experience in building online communities, social entrepreneurship and storytelling. She has also worked for the New Zealand Human Rights Commission and Oxfam, has contracted to various UN agencies and social research agencies and is co-owner of two Living Wage restaurants.

Santiago was Momentum’s first volunteer, joining just a few days after the launch in October 2015. He quickly became the leading volunteer coordinator for Momentum, and built many of systems and processes which have allowed tens of thousands of more people to volunteer and participate in the movement. Santiago worked on the mobilisation team for Jeremy Corbyn’s second leadership campaign and was the Head of Mobilisation for Momentum during the 2017 UK general election, overseeing their enormous peer-to-peer texting program and phone canvassing app.

Emily is Vice President of Organizing at NationBuilder where she is responsible for launching new products, creating strategic partnerships and connecting the NationBuilder community to the company and each other. Emily has a background in national and international politics. Prior to NationBuilder she worked for the World Trade Organization, the US Senate and the 2008 Obama Campaign. As one of the first 10 employees at NationBuilder, she has been a key player in the strategic growth of the company’s sales and customer experience teams specifically, the international expansion from 2 to 98 countries in less than 2 years. Emily earned a Masters in Comparative Political Economics from the London School of Economics and Bachelors from the University of San Diego where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
